What We Do

We provide undergraduate entrepreneurs with funding, student consulting services, and professional mentorship for free. We offer talented mentors to help the entrepreneurs we work with refine their business models, attract investors, acquire gap funding and connect them to the community to enhance their sustainability and ambition.

A successful startup is driven by a high-level business strategy. We provide guidance to our startups by working with founders to tackle their current problems and identify future issues. Our team of consultants brings a diversity of backgrounds and experiences to the table, combining creative ideas with data-driven insights to point our startups towards continued growth and profitability.

Business strategy, funding, and networking opportunities aside, Georgetown Ventures is focused on fostering a community of entrepreneurship on the Hilltop and beyond. We aim to develop close relationships with our startups, serving as a guiding partner in their continued growth and development. Working with us is more than just gaining access to a vast pool of resources; it's gaining a human network of support and mentorship.

As part of the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Initiative (GEI), Georgetown Ventures and its chosen startups have access to a wide range of resources to support the entrepreneurial community on campus.

One such resource is that of the Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs): accomplished entrepreneurs on campus who serve as mentors and advisors to students. We teach nationally recognized startup methodologies to our members and founders that work with us.

We work with entrepreneurs to:

  • Identify areas of improvement

  • Provide solutions for strategic priorities

  • Allocate funding

  • Provide financial modeling

  • Provide best-practices trainings

  • Learn startup methodologies

  • Publicize events and activities

  • Keep a count of milestones

  • Connect them to the proper network
